The Oil Connection is a family-owned and operated quick lube proudly serving Fairfield and Solano County since 1988. Rob built the shop on a simple principle: treat people right, do honest work, and care for every vehicle like it’s your own. His commitment to doing the right thing every time, along with his hands-on expertise and integrity, helped The Oil Connection grow into one of Solano County’s most trusted names in automotive service.
Rob and his wife, Stephanie, ran the shop together for decades, creating a true mom-and-pop staple in the Fairfield community. Stephanie was the heart of the business—setting the tone for the warmth, loyalty, and customer service The Oil Connection became known for. Following her passing, their daughter Sara stepped in to carry on the legacy.
Today, under Sara’s business leadership and in partnership with Kyle—our Shop Manager—The Oil Connection has grown while staying true to its roots. Together, Sara and Kyle have modernized the business, updated systems and training, and continued to build a team that reflects the care and excellence this shop was founded on.
For over 30 years, The Oil Connection provided primary maintenance services for the City of Fairfield’s police vehicles, until the City transitioned to in-house servicing. We are proud to currently maintain the fleet for the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District, and over the years, we’ve been the trusted service provider for numerous local businesses, government agencies, and community organizations across Solano County. These long-standing partnerships are a testament to the reliability, quality, and trust we've built with those who count on us.
We’ve been voted “Best Oil Change in Solano County” 14 times, most recently in 2025, and have been recognized by CarFAX, National Oil and Lube News and the Daily Republic for our dedication to quality service and community impact. In 2025, Sara was honored as one of Solano County’s Women of the Year for her leadership and ongoing commitment to Fairfield and Solano County.
Unlike chain shops, The Oil Connection is proudly independent. We don’t believe in “economy” filters, generic oil, upsells or pressure tactics. Our service writers are extensively trained in manufacturer-specific oil and fluid specifications, and we carry a wide range of high-end OEM-approved oils and parts to ensure every vehicle gets exactly what it needs. Customers stay comfortably in their vehicles while we work—keeping service fast, friendly, and efficient.
For nearly four decades, this has been more than a business—it’s been our family’s legacy. We love what we do. We respect the people we serve. And we honor the ones who built this shop by keeping it honest, high-quality, and full of heart.
